3. ln a grenade, the combination of a central tube, a tiring mechanism comprising a cylindrical body longitudinally slidable on said tube and provided at one end with a flange, and a Weighted actuating member therefor having a flange surrounding the tube and` capable of transverse movement in respect to the tube and co-acting in the. firing with the flange on the cylindrical body7 whereby a transverse movement of the fl( nge effects a longitudinal movement of the cylindrical body, substantially as descri-bed.
