Be it known that Gianni CAPRONI, engi* neer, subject of the Kingdom of taly, residing at Milan, Via Durini No. 24;, Italy, has invented certain new and useful llmprovements in Flying-ll/lachine Constructions, of which the tollowing is a specication.
The invention relates to improvements in flying machine constructions and particularly refers to multiplanes having for its object to reduce the resistance or the air against the 'iront cell or wing during flight.
lVith this object in view, the invention consists in the new arrangement lot the cables wherein the purpose isy to maintain only the diagonal cables in the structure of the cell.
The object of the invention will be better understood with reference to the annexed drawing giving, by way oi example, a form oiz the construction otl the invention as applied to the triplane.

Referring now more particularly to the accompanying drawings there is provided a triplane of the knock-down type including the front central cell l which has detachably connected thereto the side cells or wings -2-2-, one of the latter being shown disconnected for the purpose of clarity. These cells or wings comprise longitudinals -3-3- and 3- connected at suitable intervals by uprights 4c.
A fuselage 7 is connected with the front cell and in turn has connected thereto a landing carriage 8. Having now particularly described the nature of my inventionL and the manner in which the same should be performed, I claim l.l An aeroplane structure comprising a plurality of superposed planes including ak plurality ot longitudinals, a plurality of up# rights extending vertically from one longitudinal to the other, a plurality of staywires extending between the ends of said uprights and crossing each other in groups on points of the medial longitudinal, a hemispherical casing having its base connected to said medial longitudinal, and means for connecting the staywires to the casing.

An aeroplane structure comprising a plurality of superposed planes including a plurality of longitudinale, a plurality of uprights extending vertically from one plane to the other, a plurality of staywires extending between said uprights and cross`- ing each other in groups on points of said longitudinals and said uprights, hemispherical casing having a flanged base itted against the medial longitudinal, a stirrup surrounding the medial longitudinal and embracing the flanged base so as to permit or turning of the casing, said stirrup being fastened on a longitudinal in proximity of of holes in which the headed nipples are an upright, and headed nipples anchored anchored. 10 in said casing to receive the adjacent ends In testimony whereof I alixed my signaof said staywires. ture in the presence of two Witnesses.
