useful Improvements in Chocks for Automo bile Wheels, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to chocks for automobile wheels. I
It is the object of the invention to provide a chock adapted to be inserted beneath a wheel for preventing movement thereof and in order to steady the wheel. The chock consists of spaced members arranged to be yieldably drawn toward one another so as to engage the wheel at opposite sides of the lowest portion of the eriphery thereof. The chock is also provi ed with means for engagin the wheel so as to withdraw the chock rom eneath the same when it is desired to remove the chock.
The invention will be readily understood from the following description of the accomp'anying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a side elevation of the chock showing an automobile wheel positioned upon the same.
Fig. 2 is a top plan view of the chock.
Fig. 3 is a side elevation of the same.
The chock consists of the blocks 1 and 2 which may be formed of wood or any other suitable material. The blocks are adjustably positioned in longitudinal alinelnent with one another by means of a rod 3 extending along one side of one of the blocks, say the block 2.

The adj acent ends of blocks 1 and 2 are beveled as shown at 9 and the arts are so arranged that when the blocks are. drawn apart parting against the tension of spring and the chock then inserted beneath wheel A with the blocks at the opposite sides of the lowermost portion of said wheel, the spring 7 will draw the blocks toward one another so that the wheel will rest against the transverse ridges 10 of the blocks formed at the junction of beveled surfaces9 with the top surfaces 11 of the blocks. The blocks will thus form a chock for steadying the wheel and preventing movement thereof.
