To all whom it may concern:
' Be it known that I, PATRICK WALL, of Allegheny, in the county of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Tin Roofing; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming a part of this specification, in which Figure l is a view in perspective of my invention; and Fig. 2 is a similar view of two plates of a modification broken away at their front edges.
The invention consists in corrugated tinsheeting for roofs, with a plain and smooth portion near each edge, whereby the lap and joint between adjacent sheets may be easily and conveniently made, while the corrugations give the desired stiffness and strength, allowfor contraction and expansion, and avoid the tendency of the metal to buckle.
In the drawing, A represents the plain portion of the sheet, extending around the sides' I claim as new, and desire to secure by Let-- ters Patent, is
As an article of manufacture, a roofingsheet having a smooth surface in the space A along the edges, and corrugations in the space B, as and for the purpose described.
