Be it 'known that I, FLETCHER CH-Anwon,
a subject of the King of Great Britain, refv f v l tape form from thegbeam or beams and vdistributed diagonally tothe drawing roll-1 siding at Fieldhouse Mill, Rochdale, in the county of Lancaster, England, have invented ,new n and useful lmprovementsi` in Frames for Doubling Yarns, (for which l have made application in Great Britain April 20,1917, Fatent No. 106,978,) of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates .to improvements in frames for doubling yarns from warpers beams. i
It is well known that doublingortwistn ing from one or more warpers beams has been carried on previously for preparing yarns in the manufacture of heavy counts for twines, netting,duclrs, and other coarse or heavy fabrics. y Y
In such` cases it has beenv customary to support the warpers beam, or each beam, in
a creel upon a drivenV drum and to deliver..
the yarns from the warpers beam as it is rotated by surface contact with its' driving drum but this method has been unsatisfacT tory because the threads as delivered from 4the beam are uneven in'tension thereby causing more or less corkscrewed yarn and, further, the dividing anddistribution of the threads to the spindles are the cause of `much unequal tension owing to the spindles being disposed over a widerv area than the width of the warpers beam.V
To overcome these defects it has been proposed to mount the warpers beams or beam upon stands and pull olf the yarn lby means of top and bottom lines ofI drawing rollers but this method also has encountered difficulties in the distribution of the threads and in limiting the doubling to one side of the frame owing to the necessity of delivering the yarn in as nea-r a straight line as possible to the spindle.
