To all whom it may concern:
a citizen of the United States, residing at Rochester, in the county of Monroe and State of New York, have invented a certain new and useful Dispensing-Machine, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to dispensing'machines and has for its object a machine particularly adapted to dispensepackages as. f food, as sandwiches,
lunch boxes containing etc, and to preserve or keep the same in prime condition whilein the machine, which machine is particularly simple in construction and highly efficient and durable in use; and the invention consists in the combinations and constructions hereinafter set forth and claimed. 1
In describing thisinvention, reference is had to the accompanying drawings in which like characters designate corresponding parts in all the views. I

This dispensing machine comprises generally a container, a compartment for the articles to be dispensed, 'a receptacle for containing a preserving or jconditioning medium, also located in the container adjacent the compartment, and means for delivering the articles from the compartment.
In the illustrated embodiment of my in vention, the container provided with a receptacle for containing a preserving or conditioning medium, which receptacle is located centrally of the container, and with a'plurality of compartments for the articles to be dispensed, located around the receptacle or radially relatively thereto, the receptacle being common to all the compartments and each compartment having a delivery mechanism associated therewith.

The container is also provided with suitable exit slots 6 on the four sides thereof through which the articles are dispensed,
and with sight and coin openings 7 and 8 in the top thereof, there being openings 7 and 8 for each compartment 2.
The delivery partinent may be of any suitable form, size and construction. New articles are then placed on the pusher 17 beneath the old articles remaining in the guide and the slide 30 removed.
This machine is particularly advantageous in that it is particularly compact in construction and of comparatively large ca: pacity, and further in that the articles of all the compartments are kept in prime condition by a centrally located refrigerating or warming chamber.
lVhat I claim is:
1. In a dispensing machine, the combination of a container having a discharge opening in the upright sides thereof, a plurality of holders in the container for the packages to be dispensed, a receptacle for a preserving medium, the holders being arranged in upright position around the receptacle, means associated with each holder for feeding the articles upwardly toward the upper end of the holder, and a delivery member at the upper end of each holder and beneath the top of the container, the container being opening in the top thereof through which the contents about to be delivered by said members, are visible, substantially as and for the purpose described.

4. A dispensing machine comprising a. mechamsm 1n the container for container, feeding the articles to be dispensed comprising a carriage including a belt, a pusher for feeding the articles carried by the belt, means for detachably coupling the pusher to the belt and operable to permit the pusher to be shifted along the belt,substantially as and for the purpose specified.
