Be it known that I, HERBERT H. RoosA, a citizen of the United States, and resident of Lincoln, in the county of Lancaster and State of Nebraska, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Shoe-Clamping Devices; and I do hereby declare the following to be'a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being hadto the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, and to the reference-numerals marked thereon.

This invention relates to shoe manufacture and more particularly to apparatus for use p in attaching the heel to the shoe, one ob ect of the invention being the provision of a simple, convenient and effectlve clamp for holding a heel in place on the shoe after'it has been cemented or glued and applied thereto.

Another object is to provide a device of V the above character applicable to various shapes and sizes of shoes and" heels and adapted to adjust itself automatically to the varying pitch and other lines of the heel. V

Another object is the provlsion of a clamp of this nature particularly adapted-to firmly and securely engage the heel and to thereby clamp the latter to the shoe with uniformly and effectively applied force. I

' Another object is to provide, in a device of this character a construction which may be quickly and efficiently operated by unskilled labor.
