IM PROVEMENT IN TOBA CCO-POUCHES.
Specification forming part of LettersPatent No. 136,467, dated March 4, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, DANIEL READ, of the city, d'ounty, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Gomhined Tobacco-Pouch and Wallet, of which the following is a specification:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of my combined tobacco-pouch and wallet, the pouch being shown as closed. Fig. 2 is an end view of the same, the pouch being shown open.
Similar letters of reference indicate corresponding parts.
My invention has for its object to furnish a combined tobacco-pouch and wallet, simple in construction and convenient in use; and it consists in the combined tobacco'pouch and wallet, composed ofthe pouch, made of rubher or other suitable water-proof material, and provided with a metallic frame, and the pock ets of a wallet arranged upon one or both sides-10f said pouch, as hereinafter fully described.'
A is*a tobacco-pouch, made of rubber, rubber cloth, oiled silk, or other suitable waterproof material, and which is provided with a metallic frame, B,the jaws of which, when closed, are secured by a catch, clasp, or other suitable fastening. The pouch A may be covered with leather, if desired. 0 are the pock ets of a wallet, which are placed upon one or both sides of the pouch A, as may be desired, The pockets 0 are provided with flaps c, in the ordinary manner. The flaps 0 may be connected with the inner side of the inner pockets, and be secured to the outer side of the outer pockets, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2; or one of them may be thus arranged, and the other one may be secured to the outer side of the outer pocket upon one side of the pouch A, and may be secured to the outer side 'of the outer pocket upon the other side of thepouch A, the arrangement of theflaps being immaterial.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The combined tobacco-pouch and wallet, composed of the pouch A, made of rubber or other suitable water-proof material, and provided with a metallic frame, B, and the pockets O of a wall'etarranged upon one or both sides of said pouch, substantially as herein shown and described.
