To all whom it may concern: 7 i Be it known that I, ()TISB. ANGELL, a citizen of the United States, residingat 'H'averhill, in the county of Essex and State of Massachusetts, have invented certain new and-useful Improvementsin Machines for Setting Edges, of which'the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.
This invention relates to machines for setting and burnishing the edges ofshoe soles and more particularly to means for sup- 1 porting and for reciprocating the operat- [out in the claims. 1 .7

Itis an object of the present invention to so construct a machine of the above type as to eliminate all .unnecessary machine partsand at the same time to reduce undeslrable vibration to. a
minimum.
It is a further object of the invention to providein an edge setting machine a tool holder constructed to simultaneously hold a plurality of tools and adapted to be so controlled as to present either of said tools erator.

In. anedge setting machine having a pivotally mounted tool-holding, head, power driven shaft, an eccentric pin upon the end of said shaft, a block having abearing opening engaging said pin, a yokeliiember'slidably engaging opposite faces of said block, a pair of oppositely inclined cam-surfaces carried by said yoke and provided with outwardly projecting fins, and a pair of rollers mounted upon said head contacting with the respective cams and having grooves for engagement by said fins, vwhereby rotation of the shaft serves to rock the tool-holding head.

In an edge setting machine a slotted support providing opposed bearing openings, a pintle pin or shaft fixed in said openings, a tool-holding head pivoted to rock upon said pin or shaft, a plurality ofrolls carried by said tool holder upon diametrically opposite sides of said shaft, a cammember engaging said rolls, and means for actuating said cam-member.
8. In an edge setting machine, a support, a driving shaft, a tool-holding head pivoted on said support and in the axis of said shaft, a cam on said shaft, a block engagin said cam, a member slidably engaging said lock,
and means-carried by said member for actuating said head.-
