DOUBLE CORE SUPPORT FOR MOLDING. APPLICATION FILED ocf. 15. m9.

UNITED STATES HANS JRGEN EMIL ERIKSEN, 0F AARHUS, DENMARK.
DOUBLE GORE-SUPPORT FOR MOLDING.
Application filed October 15, 1919.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HANS JRGEN EMIL EnIKsnN, a subject of the King of Denmark, and a resident of Aarhus, in the State of Denmark, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Double Core-Supports for Molding, of which the following is a specification.
The invention refers to a core support, such as is used in foundries.
The manner of construction of this invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, where-- Figure 1 is an end view of the core support, and
Fig. 2 is a side view of same.
It is characteristic for this core support, that it is made of metal wire, which is twisted into two parallel supporting surfaces 3 and 4, mutually connected by means of an intermediate piece 5 of the same wire, and the one end of the wire 6 is bent at a right angle with the one supporting surface 4, thus allowing the projecting end to enter Specification of Letters Patent.

the molding sand and in this manner keep the core support in the position once placed.
I have shown an embodiment of my invention, but it is clear, that changes may be made therein without departing from the spirit thereof as defined in the appended claim.
What I claim is A double molding core support made of metal wire, the two supporting surfaces formed by a spiral twisting of the wire and held at the desired distance from each other by means of a neck of wire, whereas the one end of the wire is bent at a right angle with the corresponding supporting surface, and serves to maintain the position of the core support in the molding sand.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
HANS JQRGEN EMIL ERIKSEN.
