This invention consists in improvements in rotary fans of the folding blade type.
The improvements relate more particularly to the manner of actuating the fan blades.
The fan blades are mounted in the usual manner by means of a hub with a friction fit on the shaft of a pinion, and according to the present invention the blades unfold. automatically when the fan is started.
Thefans blades are driven by a toothed wheel actuated by means of al push which is adapted to rock around the shaft on which the fanvblades are mounted, and to drive a crank fixed toa ratchet wheel.
A constructional form of an improved fan of the folding blade type is illustrated accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a rear view of the improved fan after removal of the cover; the push being in its position of rest. K
