For maintaining the trunnions 8 ot' the contact linger in the recesses 16, and vet permitting the desired movement oi the contact linger. l have provided :1 llHHUll dcvu-e 17. For limiting the movement of the contact finger under the influence of the spring 23, I have-provided the support 11 with an extension or projection 27 arranged to be engaged by an adjustable screw 28 carried by the contact finger and adjustably held in the desired position by means ,of a resilient locking member29; also secured to the contact linger. Witl'i this arrangement the retention of the contact finger in en agement with its sup )orting base is insure and the movement oii-said finger under the influence of spring 23 may be limited as desired, While the resiliency of the spring will allow said finger to yield to the movable contact and yet firmly hold the same in engagement therewith.
The laminated lead 26 insures a positive electrical connection between finger 3 and support 11 and has one end riveted or otherwise secured to finger 3,as at 30, and has its other end detachably secured to the sup port 11 by means of a bolt and nut member '%1. As best shown in Fig. 4, the lead 26 also serves to rolnin the linger 3 in raised position from [he movable contact 2 when lhc tension (ll'\'lLl ii; is removed.

What I claim as my invention is:

In an electric switch. in combination, a support, a contact linger having at one end an open pivotal bearing on said support and having at its other end a contact, a cap 9') member detachably cngagcable with said support, and an extensile spring contained in said cap member for yieldingly maintaining the contact linger in. engagement with the support and permitting the movement of said contact.
4. In an electric switch. in combination, a support, a contact finger having at one end an open pivotal bearing on said support and having at its other end a contact, a cap member disposed over said contact member near said pivotal bearing, and means con tained in said cap member to hold the same in engagement with the support and permit movement of said contact.

In an electric switch. in combination, asupport, a contact finger having at one and an open pivotal bearing on saidsupport and having at its other end a contact, a cap member disposed over said contact arm near said pivotal bearing and having a bifurcated portion forming arms, aid arms being engaged with the support, and means contained in said cap member and bearing. against the contact finger to hold the same in engagement with sup ort and permit movement of said contact nger.
6. In an electric switch, in combination, a support, a contact finger having at one end an open pivotal hearing on said support and having at its other end a contact, a cap member disposed over said contact arm near said pivotal bearing and having a bifurcated portion forming arms, means readily detachable securing the arms of said cap to the support, and means contained in said cap member and. bearing against the contact finger to hold the same in engagement with the support and permit movement of said contact finger.

In an electric switch, in combination, a support, a contact finger having at one end :1 n open pivotal hearing on said support and luring: at its other end a contact, a cap memdisposed over said contact finger, arms willed on said cap member and extending liefliifi the sides of said contact finger and plW-Jldm'l with recesses, prqectmns formed on said sup port and engageable with the recesses of said arms, means contained in said cap member for yieldingly bearing against the contact finger to retain the same in an gegement with the support and to permit the movement of said contact finger, and means juxtaposed said cap member and engaging said support to limit the pivotal movement of said contact finger.
9. In an electric switch, in combination, a. support, a pair of notched upstanding ears on said support, a contact finger trunnions formed on said finger at one end thereof, a. contact portion at the other end of said finger, said trunnions engaging the notched ears of said support, resilient means for readily detachably retaining the trunnions in said notched ears to pivotally secure the contact finger to the support, means for detachably limiting the movement of the contact finger by said resilient means, and a laminated lead havin one end riveted to said contact finger an its other end detachably fixed to said support.
