To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, LEONARD E. VVRAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Minneapolis, in the county of Hennepin and State of Minnesota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Track and Truck Mechanism; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention relatesto track and truck mechanism intended for general use, and especially adapted for use in transferring truck-equipped distributing spout mechanism from one overhead track to another, of the type disclosed and broadly claimed in my co-pending application, executed of even date herewith, and entitled Grain spout mechanism.
To the above end, generally stated, the
invention consists of the novel devices and combinations of devices hereinafter described and defined in the claims.
In the accompanying drawings, which illustrate the invention, like characters indicate like parts throughout the several views.
Referring to the drawings,
Figure 1 is a view principally in plan with some parts sectioned on the line 1-1 of Fig. 2, and with some parts shown in diflerent positions by means of broken lines;

The numeral 5 indicates the floor of an overhead storage bin or hopper and the numerals 6 and 7 indicate two parallel lat erally spaced overhead main tracks. Eachmain track 6 and 7 comprises a pair of rails,
in the form of a pair of angle bars, the horizontal flanges of wh1ch are turned to-' ceiling of the floor 5 by having their transverse portions bolted thereto. Oblique braces 9' connect the lower ends of the prongs of the brackets 8 tothe ceiling of the floor Specification of Letters Patent.

Extending transversely in front of the left-hand ends of the main tracks 6 and 7 and thereabove, with respect to Fig. 1, is a transverse track 10 also comprising a pair of commercial angle bars arranged in the same manner as the rails of the tracks 6 and 7 The rails of this transverse track 10 are also suspended from the ceiling of the floor 5 by brackets 11 of the same form as the brackets 8, except that the prongs thereof are much shorter and, therefore, do not require braces to hold the connected rails against lateral movement.
The numeral 12 indicates a four-wheeled truck mounted to travel on either of the main tracks 6 or 7 and having suspended therefrom a distributing spout 13, said truck and spout being of the type heretofore referred to. This distributing spout mechanism is transferred from one main track to the other by a transfer track section 14 carried by a truck 15 arranged to tangular frame 17 having mounted thereon track section 14 is suspended from the truck frame 17 by four fiat bars 20 held properly spaced at their lower ends by nut-equipped tie rods 21 and long spacing thimbles 22. By reference to Fig. 1, it will be noted that one of the brackets 11 is located at the longitudinal center of each main track 6 and 7 and pivoted to the inner prong of each of said brackets, is a gravity-suspended stop bar 23.. These stop bars 28 are arranged to be engaged by an operating lever 12 of the distributing spout mechanism 18, and thereby limit the traveling movement of the truck .12 toward the track 10.
To prevent the transfer. truck 15 from being accidentally displaced from the track 10 by" a lifting movement thereof, there 1s secured to each side member of its frame 17 a pair of L-shaped retaining fingersize the horizontal portions of which underliethe rails of said track and, under a lifting move ment of the transfer truck, will' engagesaid rails, and thereby prevent the transfer truck from bein lii'ted a distance suificient to carry the flanges oi the wheels 19 above said rails.
