Be it known that I, VVILLIAM A. FRY, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Nashville, inthe county of Davidson and State of Tennessee, have invented new and useful Improvements in Combination Beds, Tables, and Cabinets, of which the following is a specification.

An important object of the invention is to provide in a combination bed, table and cabinet a means whereby the various elements thereof may be folded into a compact form when not in use.

A further object of the invention is to provide in a device of the above mentioned character a means whereby the table element thereof may serve as an adequate support for the bed, making possible the utilization of the table support or legs, thereby eliminating the necessity of providing the bed with legs or supporting elements.

A further object of the invention is to provide a furnishing which is attractive in appearance and having its various compartments readily accessible and to combine. these desirable features with durability.

Other objects and advantages of the invention will be apparent during the course of the following description taken in connection with the accompanying drawings.

The compartment 9 is provided with a door or closure 10 which is hingedly connected to the cabinet as shown at 11. To the cabinet 5 there is connected a movable section 14 by means of hinges 15, the movable section 14 being held in a vertical position as clearly shown in Figs. 1 and 2 by means of sliding lock bolts 16. To one edge of the section 14 there is connected a table leaf or second section 17 by This table leaf 17 is adapted to be secured in a vertical position as shown in Fig. 1 by means of sliding lock bolts 19 similar to those indicated by the numeral 16. The table leaf when released from the'rvertical position shown in Fig. 1 may be moved to a horizontal position as shown in Fig. 2 and supported by sectiona-l legs 20 comprising sections 21 and 22, the sections 21 being threaded within sockets 23 carried by the table leaf while the section 22 is threaded to the section 21 as will be readily understood when considering Fig. 4. To one side of the movable section 14 there is connected at bedstead comprising elongatedbed supporting bars 24, directly attached to section 14 and carrying a conventional type of fabric25 on which is a mattress 26. This bedstead is retained in a vertical position by means of sliding bolt locks 16 as is ap- ,-parent, independent of any position to which the table leaf 17 may be moved. By moving the section 14 to a horizontal position as shown in Fig. 3 the bedstead is simultaneously moved to a similar position and is consequently supported by the table leaf 17 which in this ition employs only the sections 21 of the l g s 20 as a means of support- In position the elongated bars 24 rest directly on and are supported by the second section 17. size and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit of the invention or the scope of the'sub? joined claim.
