In the accompanying drawings:
Figure 1 is a plan view;
Fig. 2 is a section;
Fig. 3 is a front elevation.
A is the body portion in the formof a barrel having a spout 1, which extends outwardly-at an obtuse angle thereto, asshown in Fig. 2. The barrel portion is provided with a screw-thread 2 by which it is screwed into the cooler or other liquid receptacle.

the head'by engaging the seat closes the passageway through the faucet. A push-button B is in the form of a nut and screws on to the threaded end of the valve D, and a spring F is sleeved around the valve and compressed between the inner end of the The foregoing is a faucet of the simplest type, comprlslng few parts, compactly arranged, easily cast and assembled, and most push-button B and the shoulder 4: formed convenient to manipulate when it is desired to draw off a quantity of the liquid in the container to which the faucet is applied More or lessslight changes may be made,
without departure from the spirit and scope of our invention. I
. We claim:
A faucet comprising a barrel and spout cast integral, the barrelhaving one threaded end and counterbored on two diameters, whereby to form a shoulder near the inner end, and having a recess at the extreme inner end, a valve-seat fitted to this recess, a
' valve composed :of a stem threaded at one end and having at the other end a head similar to the head of an ordinary screw, the inner face of the headcooperating with the valve-seat to control the passage through the faucet, a push-button in the form of a nut screwed to the threaded end of the stem, a spring sleeved around the valve and confined between the shoulder in the bore of the barrel and theinner end of the push-button,
- and finger-lugs projecting from the barrel to receive the fingers of-the operator while pressure is applied with the thumb to the 1 push-button.
