Broekton, in the county of Plymouth and State of Massachusetts, have invented eertain new and useful'lmp'rovements in Sole- Rounding Machines; and I do hereby deelare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

The-machine shown is provided with areciprocating trimming knife 2, a channel knife 4 carried in'the channel knife block 6, a feed jaw 8, a crease guide 10, and a forepart guide 12. The forepart guide is carried on the forward end of the forepart guide lever 14, which is moved into and out of active position through a rock shaft 16 connected with the lever through an arm 18 and link 20, and connected with an operating treadle through an arm 22 and treadle rod 24:. The crease guide 10 is secured at the forward end of a crease guide lever 26 whichcontrol itsvertical movements by the usual spring (not shown).
