Be it .known that l, 'WILLIAM W.- Mo- ELRATH, Jr.7 a citizen of the United States7 and a resident of East Radford, in the county of Montgomery and State of Yin ginie, have invented .new and useful lin- ;'novenients in Hydrocarbon-Vaporizers, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in hydrocarbon vaporizers for preheating gaseous fuels used particularly in connection with internal combustion engines.
An important object of the-invention is to provide in a device of the above named character a means which will inake possible the using of heavy hydro-Carbon liquids which are commonly employed as a fuel.
A further object of the invention is to provide in a device of the above mentioned character a nieanswhereby the gases enter- .ing the explosion Chamber ofy the internal.
Combustion engine inay be maintained at a uniform temperature.

In the drawings, attention being called to Figs. l to `6 inclusive wherein is shown a preferred 'form of my invention, the numeral l() indicates an internal combustion engine having an intake manifold l1 and an eX- iaust manifold 12 connected thereto by any suitable means. To the exhaust manifold l2!` there is connected a deiieetor 13 coniinunieating with the interior of the exhaust manifold l2 and provided With a iiange 14 to which is connected a resistance unit bowl l5 by means oi bolts or the like l@ passed through a ange i7 carried thereby.
