To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ALFRED H. PALLEN, a subject of the King of Great Britain, residing at Seattle, in the county of King and State of Washington, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Games, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to games, and more particularly to a game which may be designated at indoor golf.

The primary object of the invention is to produce a game which will be fascinating and amusing and which may be practlsed to develop skill and dexterity in manipulating the game piece.

A further object of the invention is to produce a game which will consist of but few game pieces and which may be played indoors with safety and which may be played by a number of persons thereby affording recreation and amusement when out-door diversions are not possible.

Other objects and advantages of the invention will be apparent from the following description and accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is a view illustratmg the manner of laying out the game pieces and also the manner in which the movable game piece is caused to be projected in carrying out the function of the game.

Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the movable game piece.

Fig. 3 is a view of one of the statlonary game pieces or rings employed in playing the game.

A plurality of rings 1 are employed which,

are perfectly circular and which may be of any desired diameter. These rings are laid out on the floor in any preferred manner and should be suitably spaced apart so that some distance will intervene between the rings.

A game piece 2 is employed in playing the game and this game piece is adapted to be flipped into the rings by a certain deXterous movement and pressure of the foot of the player. The game piece 2 consists of a head 3 which is in the form of a relatively small disk and which has extending therefrom the shank 4. The shank is tapered to a sharp point from which the shank bulges outwardly to a diameter slightly less than the diameter of the head 3 and from this bulged portion the shank gradually tapers to a relatively thin neck portion 5 which joins the shank to the disk 3. From this construction it will be obvious that the movable game piece 2 when lying on the floor will rest upon the periphery of the head 3 and the Jbulged portion of the shank 4:. This movable game piece is preferably constructed of rubber so that no injury will be done to the furniture or woodwork in the room where the game is played. After the rings have been placed in any preferred manner on the floor, the player stands some distance from one of the rings and places the game piece on the floor at his feet. The player will then raise his foot and swing it in the direction indicated by the arrow in Fig. 1 toward the game piece so that his foot passes over the game piece and above the same from the pointed end to the head 3. By dipping the toe at this point, the sole of the shoe will engage the head 3 and flip the game piece over the toe of the foot so that it is projected in the direction of the ring and if the player has properly calculated the distance to the objective ring, the movable game piece will strike the ring and thereby entitles the player to a certain number of points which may be predetermined. A certain number of points can be awarded to the player when his game piece strikes in the ring and bounds out of the same and additional points may be awarded when-the game piece strikes in and remains in the ring. In this manner a score can be kept by which a winner may be declared after each one of the players has manipulated his game piece a predetermined number of times.

The foregoing description and accompanying drawings have reference to what might be considered to be the preferred or approved form of my invention. I desire it to be understood that I may make such changes in the construction, combination and arrangement of parts, materials, dimensions, et cetera, as may prove expedient and fall within the scope of the appended claim.

Having thus fully described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
