IMPRVEMENT IN CLOTHES-LINE CLAMPS.
To all whom fit may concern:
Be it known that we, ANDREW T. THAYER,

Our inventionis a clamp for clothes-lines whereby they can be` tightened or slackened with facility, and either put up or taken down with rapidity'. This clamp consists in a frame with an eye at one end to which the rope is permanently attached, and which frame is pro vided with a clamping-lever to -press upon the rope and hold the same whilethreaded through the `frame beneath `the lever. The rope can be clamped by this device or loosened by turning back the lever and then reclamped.

We claim as our invention- The clothes-line clamp made of the frame a, with the holes b and Z and jaws e, in combination with the hand-lever t' k for holding the cord, as and for the purposes'specied.
