Myinvention relates t0 3 P for ruling machines and more particularly to the mechanism .for distributing an equalized clamping pressure along the entire length of the clamp jaws.
An object of theinvention is to provide a pen clamp in which'the jaws are closed'toward each other under an equalized clamp for their entire len' 'th, uniformly clamping all of the pens Lo aseries placed between the jaws.

It is therefore essential for the jaws tohave a uniformclamping presentire length for rigidly setting and securing all of the pens of a series. Both' jaws have rounded forward edges and the rear edge of jaw l extends beyond the jaw 2 to provide means for connecting the clamp to a cross-beam of a ruling machine.
