To all whom it may concern:

-Be it known that I, KATHLEEN S. 000K,-

a citizen of the United States, residing at Easton, in the county of Northampton and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Skein- Holders, of which the following is a speclfication.

My invention relates to skein. winders,

and has for its object to provide a simple and convenient device for holdinga hank or skein of worsted or yarn while it is belng rolled into a ball.

The object of my present invention, therefore, is to provide a support having the advantageous features hereinafter described provide an adjustable skein holder which may be assembled readily and when disassembled may be contained in very small space, and which when in use is rigid and convenient to'use.

With the above and other objects in View, my invention consists in the features of construction described in the following specification and shown on the accompanying drawing, forming a parthereof.

In this manner I provide a convenient device for holding yarn while'being wound one which can readily be taken apart by any one and reduced to a very small compass for carrying around. It is often desirable to carry this device to a gathering where wool is to be wound and by my construction it can be reduced to a very compact bundle and at the same time forms a substantial and rigid construction when assembled.

It is to be understood that the present showing and description disclose only one specific embodiment of my present invention, and that other forms and modifications are included within the spirit and appended claims.

Having thus What I claim is:

1. In a skein supporter, a circular diskshaped hub rotatably pivoted upon a central support which is itself rotatably secured in a ase, said hub having a plurality of radial slots dovetailed on their lateral edges, a plurality of rigid radial arms outstanding from said hub and having on their inner ends dovetailed surfaces fitting said dovetailed slots on the hub and detachable pins projecting at an outward angle from the upper surface of said arms at their extremities to support and hold the skein while it' is being wound.
