siding at 149 Barrow street, Coburg, in the State of Victoria, Commonwealth of Aust18.ll21,1]180l1311l0, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Atmospheric Gas-Burners, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to improvements in atmospheric gas burners and it is directed more particularly to gas burners of that type which is employed to heat small furnaces, bath heaters and the like.
The object of the present invention is to provide a burner wherein a thorough admixture of gas and air will be effected in a proper'proportion to insure the complete Elli till combustion of the gas directly it escapes from the burner and thereby produce a maximum of heat from the amount of gas consumed.
The invention briefly consistsin providing a mixing chamber wherein is located an axially dlsposed gasjet which is connected to a supply pipe and in arranging a number of holes in the periphery of the said chamber for the admission of air. The forward end of themixing chamber in line with to enable a properly proportioned mixture to be efi'ected from a given pressure of gas.

I The burner comprises a mixing chamber a of cylindrical or other approved formation having a hole I) located centrally in one end and the other end provided with a tapered nozzle 6. The holes f in the walls of the mixing chamber and the holes 7 1 in the sleeve valve 9 correspond in size and shape and are so arranged that the sleeve valve can be adjusted by partially rotating the same to regulate the admission of air to the mixing chamber.
