Be it known that I, HERMAN E. EIoHoRsT,
a citizen of the United States, residing at Waldorf, in the county of Waseca and State of Minnesota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Heaters, of which the following is a specication.
My invention relates to a steam radiator adapted to receive the heat for the water from an ordinary coal Oil or gasolene stove.
I aim to provide an effective construction which may removably rest upon such a stove and be easilv positioned thereon; one having one or more boilers with intercommunicating, valve-controlled pipes for steam and waterand with suitable steam radiating pipes in communication with the boilers.
Other objects and advantages will appear from the description following'hereinafter taken in connection with accompanying drawings illustrating one preferred embodiment.

Referring particularly to they drawings, a stove is fragmentarily shown, which is conventional of the type with which my improved radiator may principally 'be used. This stove may burn kerosene, gasolene or other liquid fuel and preferably has a plurality o-f burner compartments 4. The top of the stove is designated 5.
As the basis for my improvements, I cmploy one or more boilers and preferably a plurality 6, 7 and 8, each having a flat bottom wall adapted to rest directly on and over a stove burner. Vater may bey supplied to the boilers through a filling tube 9, normally closed by a removable plug 10. The water flows fromone boiler to another through pipes `11, preferably having ,cut-ofil valves 12 therein.V Steam flows from one boiler to another through pipes 13 controlled by cut-off valves 14., Atransparent water gage may be provided at 15 so that the quantity of water within the boilers may be readily ascertained. A substantially rectangular and flat manifold is provided at 17 to receive steam from the boilers through a pipe 18 leading from boiler 8. This manifold rests on the boilers and is soldered or otherwise secured thereto so as to fasten them in place. Rising from this manifold, are a plurality of radiator pipes 19 which communicate by means of header pipes 20. These header pipes may be made rigid by means of a bar 21, if desired.
In use, with water within the boilers 6, 7 and 8, and the fuel ignited at the burners, the water is heated and boils, causing the steam given off to rise and iow to boiler 8 through pipes 13 and then through pipe 18 to the manifold 17 and finally to the pipes 19 and 20. The radiation of heat occurs from the manifold 17 and the pipes 19 and 20.
As I have shown merely my present preferred embodiment it is to be understood that changes within the spirit and scope of my invention may be resorted to.
I claim 1. A radiator of the class described havingA a plurality of boilers to rest on a stove, water inlet means for the boilers, means to permit the water to flow from one boiler to another, means to permit steam to flow from one boiler to another disposed above the last mentioned means, a manifold resting on and securing said boilers together, a single steam outlet pipe leading from one of the boilers to the manifold, radiator pipes rising from the manifold, header pipes joining the radiator pipes, and mea-ns joining the header pipes to hold the structure rigid.
2. In combination with an oil burning stove having a plurality of burners, a series of boilers arranged side by side for placement over the burners and having intercommunicating water and steam ports, a manifold superimposed on the boilers and having upstanding radiator pipes, and means conveying the steam from said boilers to the manifol In testimony whereof I aiix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
