the application is adapted to beemployed in operation.r
for grooving glass-cutting stones with grit,
and the invention aims to improve the tread surface Vof ade'viceo'jf .the kind mentioned, so that the saine will be 'unusually effective,
It is within p n to improve] generally and to enhance the utility of devices of that type to whichthe present invention appertains.
VWith the above and'other 'objects in view which will appear as the description pro; ceeds, the invention resides inthe-'combina'- tion' andarrangement of partsv and in the details of construction hereinafter described andl claimed, it being understood" that changes in the precise embodiment 'of the in?, ventlon herein disclosed can be- 'made-within the scope of what is claimed, without departing from the spirit of the invention.
In the accompanying drawings "f f Figure 1 shows in sideelevation, adevice constructed in accordance with thek present invention, parts being 'broken away;
Fig. 2 is a' top plan of the stru'tureshown in Fig.1;Y l
Fig. 3 is a top plan wherein parts appear in section;
Fig. 4 is a cross section showing a modified form of creasing wheel;
Fig. 5 is a cross section showing a still further modification in the creasing wheel;
Fig. 6 is a side elevation showing a modified form of the invention; Y
Fig. 7 is an elevation of the wheel shown in Fig. 6;
Fig. 8 is a cross section on the line 8--8 of Fig. 6;
Fig. 9 is an elevation showing a modified form of the invention;
Fig. 10 is an elevation showing a further modification of the invention;
Fig. 11 is a cross section' showing a` further modification in the invention.
In carrying vout the present invention there is provided a holder 1 in the form of a rod or bar. The holder may be variously vSpecification of Letters Patent.

the province of the ,disclosure Patented Ma1-.-4g,j1919 constructed at itsends.r Both ends ofthe holder 1 may be fashioned as *hereinafter described or, if. desired,`but one end'v'of the holder may embody lthe construction "set forth herein.-y g
In the end of the holder thereare formed rectangularly disposed notchesjZan'd 3', thel notches 21and 3 defining what'fma'y bedenominated upper arms 4 and'lower 'arms- 5.
If desired, but one set of arms may be' provided at-the end'ofthe'h'olderl 1\.- The arms 4 and- 5 .are provided'with openings 6 'into which are threaded screws 7 provided at' their inner ends with conical bearing? points 8. On the-'outer` ends of thescrews7, lock nuts 9 are ythread'ed, the lock-nuts engaging the outer'fac'es of the arms' v444501554-5. The outer ends of the Velements 7-may be provided with yscrew-driver kerfs ,10b f The invention comprises a cre'asingvfwheel 11 equipped with circumscribin'gl recesses 14, and a flat' band 15 between 'the recesses 14. The entire periphery of the wheel A1l is circumscribed bysharpened "ribs 16 which form the creases? inl thestone tobe oper-f ated upon. "Since'tliewheel-'ll is' shaped peripherally as'shown at 14-and l5, stones'y having 'a convex'faceandlv stones! having af flat 'face'. may lbe creased with equal facility." The wheel 1'1 includes "shortfhubs '17 andv through the hubs 17l extends an opening-'18'. terminating in enlarged recesses which bearing points' y-87of thel screws 7: are
received.
It will be obvious that, owing to the provision of the screws 7 one wheel may be suby stituted readily formanother.v Further, as hereinbefore stated, owing to the construction of the periphery of the wheel, shown at 14 and 15, stones, the faces of which are shaped differently, may be creased by the wheel` forming the subject matter of this application. Y
In Fig. 5 of the drawings there shown a creasing wheel 2() having a single facing Vedge 21, this wheel being adapted for use interchangeably with the wheel 11.
In Fig. 4 of the drawings, a modified wheel 22 is shown, the same having the axial opening 23, the seats 24 and the hubs E25` hereinbefore described.V In this form of the invention, the Wheel is provided with twoV circumscribing concaved recesses 26 having sharpened circumscribing ribsr 27. Y Y
In Fig. 6 of the drawings, the holder or bar 101 is provided With arms'102 at both In the arms 102,'rectangularlyv dis-' .posed openings 103 and 104 are 'formed Axles 105 are mounted in the' openings 103 ends.
and are held in place by set screws 106,
threaded into the openings 104. The innerv ends of the axles 105 terminate in points 107 engaged in recesses 108 formed in the hubl 109 of a creasing Wheel 110 provided With a concaved tread 111 having circumscribing ribs of the sort hereinbefore described. An oil duct '114 communicates With the recesses 108 andin the axles 105'mayvbe formed oil Vducts` 115.
As shown in Fig. 9, the Wheel120 is provided Wi-th a convexed tread 121 having ribs of the sort hereinbefore set forth.
In Fig. 10, the wheel 122'has a straight, ribbed tread 123. As shown in Fig. 11, the Wheel 122 is devoid of hubs but is provided With. conical recesses 124 in its side faces,
the: recesses 124 being connected by an oil duct-125.V
iIn all forms of' thelinvention, the wheels are provided in'` their tread portions with transverse. grooves 126, intersected by enlarged openings 127. The grooves 126 and the openings 127 arev adapted to carry off Waste material. The'grooves126 and the openings 127 may be used together, or either of them may be employed to the. exclusion Vof the other.
