N atn're and Objects of the Invention.
This invention consists in an improved construction of the revolving-rack or holder of a cruet-stand or table-caster, combining strength and stability with cheapness of manufacture.
Description with Reference to the Drawing.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the under side of a revolving-rack embodying my inventron. Fig. 2 represents my skeleton-casting detached. Fig. 3 is an axial section of the rack in its erect position. a modification of my rack.
A B represents a customary flanged plate of the revolving-rack of a table-caster. O is the central aperture in the same for the stem or shaft of the caster. D, the series of orifices to receive the cruets. The plate A B is stiffened by a skeleton-casting, E F G, which, having a flush topsurface, is soldered by that surface to the under side of said plate. This casting consists ofa central hub, E, from which radiate a series of deep fiat triangular braces or ribs, F, terminating between and cast to the rings G. Each rib, F, is a solid Figs. 4 and 5 show triangular plate, deepest at the hub, and serving in conjunction with its described attachments to effectually brace and stifien the rackplate, and prevent sagging by use or even considerable violence.
A modification of my rack may consist in an open or skeleton combination of the spider E F, cast in one piece with a series of rings, G, whose round side is presented upward, the whole being encircled by a simple open hoop or band, B, soldered to the outside of the rings, and the plate being omitted. The parts E F G, although preferably cast in one piece, may be cast in two or more separate pieces, and afterward joined by solder, if preferred. The most important feature of my improvement is the triangular ribs F, as here combined.
Claim.
The plate B, provided with orifices D D, in combination with the central hub E, triangular ribs F F and rings G G, all constructed and arranged as and for the purpose set forth.
In testimony of which invention, I hereunto set my hand.
