To'all rwhom-it may concern:
Be it known that I, HORATIO HASKIN, of Ypsilanti, in the county of Washtenaw and State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Milk and Cheese Safes; and I' do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, referencebeing had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon which form a part of this speciiication.
The nature of my invention consists in the construction and arrangement of a milk and provision safe,v as will be hereinafter more fully set forth.
In order to enable others skilled in the art to which my invention appertains to make and use the same, I will now proceed to describeits construction and operation, referring to the annexed drawing, in which is represented a side elevation of my milk and cheese safe.
A A' represent the sides of a polygonalshaped safe. B is the top, and C the bottom of the same. The top and bottom are each made in two or more pieces, each piece having its respective sides of the safe attached to it,
thus making the safe in two or more sections,
so that it can readily be taken into any place where wanted, when the sections may be easily united after first placing the shelves therein. D D represent the shelves, which are made in circular form and rest upon friction-rollers a a', arranged one in each corner of the safe, upon a bracket of any suitable construction-that is, each shelf rests upon its own set of rollers, one in each corner of the safe. These rollers may be placed either verticallyv or horizontally, and when revolving vertically may have a circumferential flan ge at the outer end-the same as if the rollers shown under the bottom shelf were placed vertically instead of horizontally. It will be seen that I have no center post in my safe, but the entire surface of the shelves may be used for the reception of the articles to be placed in the safe.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
A safe provided with a series of circular shelves, each shelf resting upon its own friction-rollers, and without any other support or bearing, substantially as herein set forth.
