To all whom it may concern:
First, to provide an improved conduit or pipe formed from sheets of paper board or other hbrous material.
Second, to provide an improved conduit which may be shipped in the knockdown and nested form and quickly set up and assembled for use on the job by an unskilled Workman.
Third, to provide an improved conduit having these advantages which is very simple and economical and at the same time highly satisfactory and durable in use.
Further objects, and objects relating to structural details, will definitely appear from the detailed description to follow.
l accomplish the objects of my invention by the devices and means described .in the following specication. The invention is clearly defined and pointed out in the claims.
A structure which is a preferred embodiment bf my invention is clearly illustrated in the accompanying drawing," forming,` a part of this specification, in which:

ln the drawing` similar reference characters refer to similar parts throughout the several views, and the sectional views are taken looking' in the direction of the little arrows at the ends of the section lines.
Referring to the drawing, the bodies l of the conduit members or sections are conformed from sheets of paper board. This may be done on bending); rolls quite similar to those used for conforming` sheet metal. conduits or pipes. ,lf preferably provide each section with a circumferential bead E2 adjacent one end and with a reduced portion 3 at the outside of the bead' adapted to be telescoped into a coactine,` section.
The sheet metal seam members a are folded longitudinally to provide oppositely facing superimposed channels 5 in which the longitudinal edges of the body are disposed in overlapping relation. The channels are clamped upon these overlapped edges and preferably further1 retained by indenting; the same at intervals, as 6. For additional security lf provide clips 7 formed of sheet metal and having tongues or prongs 8 struck therefrom, the prongs being disposed through the body at the edges of the seam` member and preferably clamped thereon as shown in Fig. Hl.
llt is found quite satisfactory to provide these clips at the ends only as it is only at these points that the members are subjected to any substantial stress in handling and assembling. rlhe conduit is quite satisfactory when these clips are omitted.
My improved conduit may be shipped andl stored in the knockdown and nested form, as shown in Fis'. VH, and the seam. members easily applied by the' workman, even an unskilled workman, at the place of erection.
My improved conduit is much more eco nomical than metal or wood conduits, is light in weight and easily erected. While l have particularly designed and illustrated my improvements as li have adapted the same for air conduits for furnaces, they are desirable for use in numerous other relations. l have not illustrated or described such adaptations and modifications which might be necessary for such other uses, as l believe the disclosure made will enable those skilled in the art to which my invention relates to embody or adapt the same as may be desired.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as nevs7 and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
l. A Conduit member comprising a body conformed from a sheet of paper board, a sheet metal seam member having superimposed oppositely disposed channels in which the longitudinal edges of the body are disposed in overlapping relation, the seam member being indented and clamped upon the body, and clips provided with pronO's disposed through the body at the edges of the seam member and clamped thereon.
2. A conduit member comprising a body of brous material, a sheet metal seam member having superimposed oppositely disposed channels in which the longitudinal edges of the body are disposed in overlapping relation, the seam member being indented and clamped upon the body, and clips provided With prongs disposed through the body at the edges of the seam member and clamped thereon.
