To all/whom t may concern.
Be it lmown that I, ALBERT E. WOODEN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Waterbury, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, haveinvented a new and useful Improvement in 'Vacuum-Bottles; and Ido hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the characters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which 'said drawings constitute part of this application, and represent, 1n-
Figure 1 a broken view partly in side elevation, and artly in, section, of a vacuum-V bottle embo yinghmy invention.

My invention relates to an improvement plurality of tapered drinking-cups are apshown, I emp plied in'4 nested form tothe shell of the bottle so as to form a component part thereof, the o bject of vmy presentl invention being to gromde. means -whereby a standard' vacuum ottle may be converted into a bottle of the tygadescribed.
v 1th these ends in view, my invention conslsts in a vacuum bottle converting-colinto a bottle of the type described.
In carryin out my invention as herein oy' a converting collar having itsupper and wer ends differentiated in 4diameter and both threaded, its smaller upper en d 2 being adapted in internal diameter to be screwed over the threaded neck 3 of the domical shell-cap 4 which has. its lower end formed withthreads 6 to adapt it to be permanentlv screwed upon the threaded 11%- er end o the 4sheet-metal bottle-shell he larger lower end B'of the convertin collar is threaded and formed'with a spree Agripping-edge 12 which latter engages with the upper face of the outwardly turned bead-like rim 13 of the outermost of the' nested drinking-cups 14 of .which there are three in the bottle shown, though the number may be varied within limits as desired. The cups having ring 10 is slipped down over them and screwed upon the threadedlower portion 8 of the converting-collar, whereby the cups as a nest of cups are secured in place and form a component ture, the rim 13 o the lowermost cup 14 bein drawn firmly down upon a horizontal bearmg-shoulder 15 formed between the up'- per and lower ends 2 and 8 of the converting-ring constituting the characteristic feature of my invention. By providing su'ch a nest of cups and theircoupling-ring with a converting-collar adapted to fit the threaded neck of a standard vaccum bottle, enabled to convert the same into a bottle of the type in which a nest of cups forms a part of its structure.
1. A vacuum-bottle converting-collar having its threaded upper and lower ends dif- I am.
been nested as shown, the l ferentiated'in diameter and separated by an abutment-shoulder, Vits smaller threaded upperkend being adapted to tit the' threaded nec receivethe coupling-ring of a nest of drinkof a standard vacuum bottle and its larger threaded lower end being adapted to ing cups the lowermost of which bears upc the said abutment-shoulder.
2. As a new article of manufacture, a
vacuum bottle having a sheet-metal shell providediat its upper. end with' a threaded neck, a nest ofidrinkmg cups each havin an offsetting rim,'a coupling-ring forme at its upper end with a gripping edge and having its lower end threaded, and a converting-collar having its upper and lower ends threaded and dii'erentiated in diame- In testiinony whereof, I have signed this ter and separated by an abutment-shoulder, specification in the presence of' two subscrib- .its smaller threaded upper end being adapting witnesses.
ed to fit the threaded neck of the shell and ALBERT E. WOODEN. its largerfthreaded lower end being adapted Witnesses: to receive the threaded lower end of the JOHN S. NEAGLE,
coupling-ring. A. C. REGKER.
