citizen of the United States, residing at La 7 (Jrrange, in the county of Cook and State of Illino1s, haveinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Dampers, of which the following-is a specification.

Such latch is always covered with soot and when the fire is burning in the grate the manipulation of the damper is exceedingly difficult and uncomfortable.
