Briefly the invention comprises a tubular. body member substantlally closed at its outer end but open at its inner end to receive a cap member which closes said open endof the tubular body and carries both the circuit terminals and the fusible element connecting 3 wherein Figure 1 is a longitudinal sectional view of :the fuse j the same. The plug-is made u of two main parts, a mainbody member 5 1n the form of a tubular shellhaving an open inner end and a substantially closed outer end, and a cap member 6 designed to close the.open inner end of the firstmember. A fuse plug comprising, a tubular member of insulating material closed at its outer end and open at its inner end, a cap piece endof the tubular body member, means for keying said two members together to prevent relative rotation between the same, ascrew shell having an end flange engaging over the cap member,-said body member having a substantially smooth external surface whereby the screw shell may be slipped endwise over the same to hold the cap member thereto, said body member further having an external shoulder and the screw shell having a portion indented over said shoulshell having a conducting strip integral with the end flange thereof introverted into the tubular body member, an end contact on the cap member and a fusible link connected between the conducting strip and end contact. i

A fuse plug comprising, a screw shell having an end flange and a conducting strip projecting from said end flange up into the interior of said screw shell, a cap member of insulating material seated in said screw shell and resting on the end flange thereof, said member having a portion projecting beyond the end flange of'the screw shell, said projecting portion and. screw shell flange having engaging portions preventing relative rotation of the screw shell and cap member, said cap member having a passage in one edge'portion thereof for the introverted conducting strip of the screw shell and a projecting annular wall, said conductin strip extending along said annular wall and being bent over the inner end thereof, a center contact carried by the cap member, a fusible link secured between said end contact and the bent over inner end of the conducting strip and a tubular body member adapted to receive said cap member and screw shell.

A fuseplug comprising, a screw shell having an end flange and a conducting strip projecting from said end flange up into the interior of said screw shell, a cap member of insulating material seated in said screw shell and resting on the end flange thereof, said member having a portion projecting beyond the end flange of the screw shell, said projecting portion and screw shellflange having g, cap memberlaaving a passage in one edge said two members against relative rotatidn.

In a use plug, a tubular body member having a substantially closed outer end and an open engageable with said tubular body member Comprising, a screw shell having an end Y flange and an introverted conducting strip integral with said end flange,a cap member for closing the open inner end of the tubular body member seated on the end flange of the screw shell and having a tubular wall projecting into the screw shell and into the open inner end of the tubular body member, an end contact carried by the cap member and a inner end and a fuse carrying unit fusible link connected at one end with said end contact and at its other end with the inher end portion of the introverted conduct-r ing strip.
