To all 'whom 'it may concern Be it known that I, ABRAHAM Novlcx, a citizen ofthe United States, and a resident of New York, borough of Manhattan, in the county' of New York and State of New` York, have invented certain new and useful cation I have illustrated the Preferriid 'em' l 'so Improvements` in Envelop-Fastener Strips, of which theffollowing is a specification.
This invention relates to envelop fastener strips and particularly to such strips of that class as are adapted to be severed into suitable lengths andprovided with tongues and aflxed to envelop bodies, for coaction with perforationsin the envelop flaps for fastening the flaps to fthe envelop bodies, respectively. y
The object of `my improvements is to provide a strip of the class specified of simple construction, which may be manufactured in a continuous length by simple machinery at small expense.

In the showing of Figs. 1 and 4, my improved fastener strip comprises a strip of sheet material 2, which-may be of paper, cloth, or some other-suitable stock. This strip is provided with an adhesive 3 O n one '4 -face thereof. A metal strip 5, preferably materially narrower than strip 2, has folded thereabout a second strip'of sheetmaterial 6. Preferably said second strip is approxiandhasits lateral edges folded over the yedge-s of the metal strip, thereby inclosing said metal strip.'
