Be it known that I, KENNETH RUsHToN, a citizen of the United States,`residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented certain Improvements in SwingTrucks for Locm'otives,{of' which the followingis a specification.

This rocker frame is jU-shaped, as illustrated in Fig. 2, and one swing link is attached to one arm and the other swing link lis attached to the other arm, as shown clearly in said figures. The bearing surface 14 of'this rocker frame is curved,"as shown in Fig. 1, so 'that-it will rock 'against the under side ofthe center pui. Y
f In orderto yieldingly connect the rocker frame to the bearing, I mount within the `center pin a coiled spring 15. A bolt 16 extends through this spring and through an opening 17 in the bottom of the center pin l and has a T-head 18 curved on its upper'jside, as 'clearly shown in Fig. 4, and this curved head is adapted to a socket 19Von the :under side of the rocker frame 13, as clearly shown in Fig. 3. On the upper end of the bolt are two nuts 2O and located in the center pin 1 is a spring plate 21 forming an Vupper bearing for the spring 15. When the 'frame 13 swings on links 10 tothe limit of itsk capacity a strain, due to the curvature lof the track, is then placed upon the bolt 16 and compresses the spring 15, which permits an additional Ylateral movement by reason ofthe frame 13' rocking on the curved surface 14 Aagainst the under side of the center pin 1', which remains unyieldingly pivoted Y -to the locomotivevframe. The spring 15 also tends to'return the frame to itsnormal position.
