' DECK FOR BRICK CARS.
APPLICATION FILED MAY 10, 1911.
Patented July 2, 1918.

ries of superimposed bricks will be spaced thereof.
In the use of the deck or platform the bricks can be conveniently stacked thereon Y and the hardling of the bricks in the loading and unloading of the car can be efi'ected expeditiously. a
The deck or platform made in a series of bodies each forming a; separable section permits the transfer of the same after passing through a drier so that the sections can be pushed or moved to bring the bricks thereon close together or each tier of bricks upon each section can be readily stacked one upon the other when the tiers of bricks are held upon the sections of the platform. Also these tiers of bricks on the sections can be readily separated for drying purposes. When the platform with the sections is arranged as shown in Fig. 1 of the drawings the same including all of the sections can be readily lifted through the use of bars disposed transversely in any of the channels adjacent to the ends of said platform at the under side thereof so that the platform as a unitcan be transferred from the car to any desirable point or vice versa.
From the foregoing description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, the construction and operation of the herein described'deck for brick cars will be readily apparent and, therefore, a more ex- .tendedexplanation has been omitted.
Having thus described my invention, I claim:
1. The'combination with a wheeled car truck, of supporting beams mounted transversely at intervals thereof and a transversely corrugated body forming a platform removably supported upon said beams.
2. The combinationwith a wheeled car truck, of supporting beams mounted transversely at intervals thereof and a transversely corrugated body forming a platform removably supported upon said beams, each of the corrugations being substantially U-sha ed and arranged alternately in reversec posltlons. i
In testimony whereof I afiix my signature.
