SPECIFICATION.
Specification describin g a Skatin g-Wand, invented by KATE S. TODD, of Yankton, in the county of Yankton and Territory of Dakota.
My invention consists of a light staff or Wand of wood, of graceful form, three to five feet long, having at each end a ball of gutta-percha or like substance, two to four inches in diameter; the object of my invention being to afford aid and assistance to persons in skating or in learning to skate, the wand being used for the purpose, either as a balancing pole, or for placing or resting one of the balls on the ice to gain steadiness. the gutta-percha giving it D a hold on the ice to prevent slipping.
