Speciication describing anew and Improved Washing-Machine, invented by NEWTON C. GooDLoE, of Oka-lona, in the county of Chickasaw and State of Mississippi.

This invention relates to a new dashing apparatus of a washing-machine; and consists in making the same in form ot' a hollow threesided prism, with perforated sides and ahin ged door, and provided with projecting gud geons, whereon it can be rapidly revolved within the suds-box to insure efficient and expeditious results.

Gudgeons e e, which project from the ends of the dash, have their bearings in the ends of the suds-box, and one is connected with a suitable hand-crank, f, on the outside of the 'suds-box. By means of this crank, the dash can be rapidly revolved within the suds-box.
The clothes to be vwashed are placed into the triangular dash C, and suds into the box A. The rapid turning of the former will then cause the clothes to tumble against the sides ofthe same, the water meanwhile rushing through the perforations, and agitating and cleaning the clothes.
