JOHN S. THOMSON, OF OAMPTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 125,913, dated April 23, 1872.
I, JOHN S. THOMSON, of Gamptown, Bradford county, Pennsylvania, have invented a certain new and useful Fixture, for the purpose of hanging at different heights, and adjusting at different angles, mirrors, pictures, framed advertisements, and other useful ornamental objects that can be properly attached.
The above purposes are attained by the combination of the frame-pivots with the bearers through the means of their slots, the different height of the slots giving the different altitude of the. mirror or frame. The wedge-shaped bearings at the lower end of the slots, as shown in the drawing, in connection with the wedgesha-ped groove in the frame-pivot, give suflicient tightness to hold the mirror or frame at any angle it may be placed. The long slots with their aperture intermediate between the ends, with the rounded ends of the segment forming the aperture, give convenience and safety.
