A. further modification may he produced by mounting a set ot colored sheets upon the hub 13 of the rotating member on the side opposite that shown in Fig. l, and thus changeable 'elieets of the toy Awill be visible not only to the operator but to persons on the opposite side or in front of the toy.

A toy constructed as described will be simple, can be made at slight expense'and will be of great pleasure not only to children but others more advanced in life who are interested in the changing ot colors and their' combinations.

What l claim is: l

A chromatic' toy comprising a member weighted at one side of its periphery, an axial pin on a handle carrying said member and adapted to cause its rotation' by rapidly moving said parts Cireularly about an axis parallel to the axis oi the rotating member, and colored sheets ,frictionally contacting with said members i 2. A chromatic toy comprising a handle with a pin shaft, a member rotatable freely upon said pin and Weighted at one side of its periphery and adapted'to be rotated by the rotating motion ot' said handle, and a plurality ot' colored sheets held in trictional Contact with said rotating member and each other. A chromatic toy comprising a handle having a bearing pin at one end, a circular mem-berl rotatable on said pin, a weight on one Side of its periphery, means for retain ing said member upon said bearing pin, and a plurality ot' sheets of diilerent colors eccentrically mounted upon said bearing pin and having a slight i'iictional engagement with said rotating,- member and with each other.
