to be a full, clear, and exact description o the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same reference being had drawings, and to the letters and figures of reference` marked thereon, which forni a part of this specification.v
This invention` relates to new and useful' improvements in dish washing apparatus and consists of a simple and efficient device of 'this nature com rising various details of of reference mar construction, ments of arts which will be hereinafter fully described, shown in the accompanying 'drawings and thenspeciically deined in the ap ended claims.
ur invention is illustrated in the accompanying drawings which, with the letters ed thereon, form a part of this specification and n which: Figure 1 is a side elevation. Fig. 2 is a central vertical sectional View through our improved dish washing apparatus. y y
Fig. 3 is a sectional view on line 3--3 of Fi 2. l i ig. 4 is a sectional view on line 51-4 of Fig'. 2. Reference now being had to the details of the drawings by letter:
A designates a cylindrical portion of the receptacle having a conical shaped lower portion B, said portion A having in the wall thereof'a spiral way C. The said receptacle -is supported upon legs D, having cross arms E connected thereto. The lower conical portion of the receptacle is provided with a depressed sink portion F from .which an exit pipe H leads and which pipe is provided p with 4a suitable valve VI operated by the handle J. An inner dish holding receptacle, designated by letter N, is of a general conical'sliape, whi e its upper portion is of a cylindrical outline and has secured to its circumference brackets O carrying the antifriction wheels R, which are adapted to Specification of Letters Patent,

sisting of angle iron, are fastened to the iny ner surface of the receptacle N at intervals and at inclinations, and are provided for the purpose of agitating the water within the receptacle The conical shaped receptacle N is provided with openings M, through which water is adapted to flow. In order. to support the conical shaped dish holder above the bottom of the conical shaped portion B, a raised member G is placed upon the bott-oni of the receptacle B and serves to limit the downward movement of the dish holding receptacle.
In operation, the dishes are placed within the receptacle N, water being pouredv into the receptacle A to a suilicient height, and by operating the rece tacle N through the medium of the lever il, the water maybe agitated and the dishes thoroughly cleansed. After the dishes have been washed -the valve in the exit pi e may be opened and the water drained o and by pouring fresh water into the receptacle, after closing the'A valve', the dishes maybe rinsed, and by opening the valve again the water may be drained off and the dishes quickly dried, after being treated by water of the proper temperature.
What we claim to be new is:
1. A dish washing apparatus, comprising a receptacle of c lindrical shape and" having its wall forme into a spiral way, a dish holding member filling the space within said. receptacle, having wheels journaled upon the cuter circumference thereof and engaging said spiral way, and a handle y fixed to said member within the receptacle,
having a.V the entire member having its lower portion to conform to the hopper shaped portion of said receptacle and provided with erforations, splasher' members "rojectiiing rom the.. innersurface of hopper shaped portion of said member, a handle fixed to the mem-4 ber and positioned within the receptacle.
3. A dishwashing machine, comprising a receptacle Having a, cylindrical portion, the entire Wall of which is formed into a spirall way :ind-the lower portion. hopper shaped, a dish holding member, having a cylindrical portion extending 'the'.entire width of the interior of said receptacle, wheels journaled upon the outer circumference of the cylinlrcal portion of said member and engaging said spiral way, said member having its lower portion to conform" to the hopper shaped portion. of said receptacle and rovieded with perforation's, splasher mem ers
