which may be mounted on a closet door if desired so as to be swung into the closet and concealed from view when the door is closed.

The dresser is mounted on a suitable supporting frame which comprises in the present case, upright wooden members 1-1, which may be secured to the inside of a closet door 2, for example,'-although they may also be secured directly to a wall or other suitable support, if desired. At the top of said upright supports a. rack 3 is provided consisting of a horizontal shelf, supported on suitable side brackets 4 and arranged to hold bottles or other toilet articles. Beneath said rack, folding mirrors are arranged consistin of a large central mirror 5 and two smal side mirrors 6-'-6. These mirrors are supported preferably on suitable wooden strips 7 secured to the uprights-ll. The mirror 5 is pivoted at 8 to said strips 7 and the side mirrors 6-6 are secured'thereto by hinges 9 whereby the sectional elevation angle of the middle mirror may be adjusted and whereby said side mirrors may be folded inagainst the middle mirror, as shown in Fig. 5 for example. i

Beneath. he mirror 5, a suitable inclosure 10 is provided, which contains boxes or receptacles 11, 12, 13,. shown pivoted at 13' which may contain en and ink or other accessories necessary or writing, whereby the dresser may be used as a writin desk, if desired. The receptacle 13 which is suitable for pens, fits in the receptacle 12, as shown in section in Fig. 2. When these receptacles are pushed back into place, a compact arrangement is provided, as shown in said figure.

A supporting cross piece 14 is secured to the uprights 11 and 7- 7 as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, said cross piece being arranged to support the table or hinged leaf 15 provided with the hinges 16, as shown. Said table when in use is supported in horizontal posi-. tion by folding arms 17 of any suitable type, which arms permit said table to be folded to vertical position as shown in Fig. 3 and locked therein by a catch 18 of any suitable kind. It will be noted that the side mirrors are to be folded in against the middle mirror before the table is swung to vertical position and a very compact construction thereby results. Said table, being slightly wider than the supporting frame, including the wooden strips 7-7, hides the latter and the folding arms 17, when viewed from the front, whereby a neat ornamental appearance is attained. v

Below the table 15 a pair of upright supporting members 19 are secured to the parts of the frame 11. A tray 20 is arranged at the upper end of said members beneath the table. Horizontal frames 21, 22, 23 are secured to said members 19.

A vertical rod or bolt 24: is arranged at each side of the dresser passing through said horizontal members, as shown, and about which bolt a plurality of swinging drawers, boxes or receptacles, 25, 26, 27 are arranged. Said receptacles are supported and guided in their movement by said frames. These receptacles or drawers are of uniform width but may be of varying length or height, whereby they may be adapted to hold various different articles of. wearing apparel. They may also be swung to different angles, whereby access to any one may be had without obstruction from the one above it and without havmg to raise the hinged table.

Aswill be seen, the entire device may be very compactly folded whereby if it is desired to mount it on the inside of a closet door, the latter may be readily swung open and shut without interference to its movement. Furthermore, the available size of the closet is not materially diminished when the door is shut. To use the dresser, the door is simply swung back against the wall and the various parts of the dresser swung to the desired positions. i

Although the device has been referred to as a dresser or writing table, it is obvious that it is not limited to such use, as it may be otherwise employed. Also, "all of the features herein described need not be embodied in a'single contructionJ Furthermore, various changes in the structural details and relative arrangement of parts ma be made without departing from the spirit of the invention, as expressed in the appended claims.

What I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States is: 1. A folding device of the class described, comprising a suitable support, a plurality of folding mirrors secured thereto, a table hinged below said mirrors, and a pluen the rality of pivoted drawers mounted above 40 and below' and table, said table bein arranged to fold over said mirrors an the drawers pivoted thereabove, whereby a compact structure is provided.

2. A folding dressing table comprising a pluralit of upri hts adapted to be secured to one ace of a oor, a mirror'pivoted between said ugrights, side mirrors ivoted to said uprig ts and adapted to fo d over said first-mentioned, mirror, aplurality of horizontal swinging drawers pivotally mounted on said uprights below said mirrors, and a table hinged to said uprights and arranged to fold over said mirrors and certain of said drawers.

A folding dressing table comprising a pluralit of uprights adapted to be secured to one ace of a door, a mirror pivoted between said u right side mirrors pivoted to said uprig ts an adapted to fo (1 over said first-mentioned mirror, a plurality of swinging drawers pivotally mounted on said uprights below said mirrors, and a table hinged to said uprights and arranged to fold over said mirrors.

4. A folding dressing table comprising an upright support, a mirror secured'to said support, side mirrors pivoted to .said support and adapted to fold over said first mentioned mirror, a plurality of swinging drawers pivotally mounted on said support below sa1d mirrors, and a table hinged to said support and arranged to fold over said mirrors.
