Be it known that IQHENR P. Gonnz. a citizen ofthe United States, residing at Marion in the county of 'lurner and State of South 6 Dakota, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Spark- Coil: Testing Devices, of which the following is a specific'ation.
This invention relates to a spark coil test ing device and more particularly to an apparatus which is designed to determine Whether or not the coil box for an automobile is proper Working order: hether the secondary or primary coils of the coil box are defective or' whether the master vibrator contained Within the coil box is properly adjusted or in working order.
The invention further aims to provide a device that may he kept in a garage ,or repair station where it may be used when it becomesnecessary to testthe adjustment of the vibrator of an automobile before tamper-. in'g Withthe plugs, disturbing the ohrhnreter,

The lower edge of the small plate 26 is provided with at point '28 which is small in formation to the point 22 0f the end of the spring arm 20 and thereby provides a short up in which a spark is made when the coi box is in position.
-B v reference to Fig. 3 of the drawing it will be observed that the light-lines represent the winding of the'coil box and the contact plate 8 is in contact with the terminals of both the secondary and the primary coils with the vibrator V arranged in the wiring of the primary coil. The contact plate 12 rcceivcsthe opposite-terminal of the primary coil and the contact plate '13 receives the opposite terminal of the secondary coil. When the circuit is thus completed the current will pass through the primary coil, and if v the vibrator is in working order, a secondary current passes" thi-Qugh the secondary coil and across the gaps between the points 18' and .27 and also between the points QSJand 22 where a spark will occur which will vibrator are in working condition. Should no spark occur, the adjustable conducting arm 18 will be thrust forwardly toward the point 27' until a spark occurs at the ga whereby the operator will be enabled to determine whether coil aire'defectivc and, if no spark occurs at a] the operator will know that a defect exists in the coil or vibrator.

I claim:
