To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Esnauano Scnnnmnn, a citizen ofthe United States, and a resident of New York, in the county of ew York tain new and useful Improvements in M0- tion-Picture Apparatus, of which the following is a specification.
The invention relates to accessories to motion picture apparatus, such as cameras and projecting machines; and it has for its obect to provide means to induce a circulation of air in the vicinity of said apparatus for the purpose of removing the static electricity with which in rubbing over various supports, and other portions of the apparatus, undesirable results of which charge on t e film are seen in the striations and lightning effects produced thereon.
The nature of the invention will be best understood when described in connection with the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a motion picture camera, as one embodiment of the invention.

Referring to the drawings, a suitable box, herein shown as of a camera type, carrying at its top in front, a lens shade 12. 13 is provided, swinfging carrying a portion 0 the film moving mechanism 15, which is driven by a crank handle 16 projecting through the said door 13 to advance the film 18, the said mechanism, however, forming no part of the present invention. The undesirable results obtained when no provision is made for doing away with the static electricity are thereby obviated and in a particularly simple manner.
I claim:
1. In a motion picture machine: a film, and film moving mechanism; means to support and guide said film through the mameans to induce a circulation of fluid in the vicinity of said guidinfg and supporting means for the purpose 0 removin from said film any static electricit which it may have become charged t rough frictional engagement therewith.
2. In a motion picture machine: a film, and film moving mechanism; means to support and guide said film through the machine and means driven by said mechanism to induce a circulation of air past em and in the vicinitfy o gu' supporting means in therefrom any static electricitvwhich it may have become charged t rough frictional engagement therewith.
3. In a motion picture machine: a film, and film moving mechanism; means to support and (guide said film throu h the machine; an a fan driven by sai movmechanism to induce a circulation of air in the vicinity of said guiding and sup in means for the purpose of removing rom said film an static electricity with which it may have ecome charged through frictional enga ement therewith.
