rotary engine wherein either steam, water, air, or gas may .be usedto propel the engine, which is adaptable fora multipliclty of uses because of its simplicity and 'lightness of constructlon, 1ts efficiency, and 1ts economy both in manufacture and use.
.My device may also be used singly or as a multiple cylinder motor, pump,- or fluid compressor.
Other objects of this invention not at this time more particularly enumerated, will be clearly understood from the detailed description and drawings forming a partjof this specification.
Furthermore, this invention consists in the novel arrangements and combination of, parts more particularly described in the following specification and embodied in the claim appended hereunto and forming a part of this application.

From the foregoing description, it is obalways be in engagement with the inner wall of the stator, and thatas the shaft and rotor revolve in unison, the relative posi tion of said piston within the block will vary during the rotation process, .and the block will, at the same time, oscillate within slight'limits upon its ownaxis, the T-head:

When power is applied directly to the shaft for the purpose of using my device as a pump or fluid compressor, the piston will act to draw in the fluid, through the inlet 7 and force it out through the outlet 8.
The utility, adaptability, and advantages of my improved form of rotary engines being obvious, it is unnecessary to further enlarge upon the same herein.
Having now described and pointed out the new and useful features of my invention, I do not limit myself to'the shape of certain parts, where the shape is not essential, nor do I restrict'myself to the exact details of construction shown and described, but mean and intend to claim all equivalents and variations thereof not departing in principle from my invention, and falling within the purview of the appended claim.
What I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
In a device of the character described the combination of a stator comprising a pair of circular outer plates, a ring member interposed between said plates and secured thereto adjacent their outer periphery, a shaft bearing formed in the axial center of the plates, a shaft mounted in said bearings, an
inlet and outlet pipe mounted on said ring,
a drum bearing mounted on the plates eccentrically disposed relative to the axial center thereof, a rotor mounted within the stator having an opening in the peripheral wall thereof, arms formed on the rotor coextensive with the drum bearing, the ends of the arms being open, said rotor revolving concentric with its own axis and eccentric with respect to the axis of the shaft, the peripheral wall of the rotor being adapted to maintain a position in close proximity to the inner circumference of said stator at a point intermediate said inlet and outlet, a cylindrical bearing block having a longitudinal groove coextensive with the outer walls thereof and a radial groove extending from the longitudinal groove to the peripheral wall of the opposite side of said block, a piston rod mounted in said shaft and'extending through said radial groove, a transverse head formed on the end of the piston extending through said groove, the walls of the longitudinally extending groove providing strengthening means for the piston rod also preventing escape of the motive fluid.
