HARRY J. KUHN, OF MIDDLETOWN,1\TEW YORK.
COMBINATION TOILET-ARTICLE HOLDER.
Application filed July 29, 1915.
T 0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HARRY J. KUHN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Middletown, in the county of Orange and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Combination Toilet-Article Holders, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to improvements in combination toilet article holders.
The object of my invention is to provide a combination toilet article holder that may be used for all of the toilet articles most commonly in use, such as a towel hanger, soap receptacle, glass and toothbrush holders. It is customary to have separate holders for each of the usual toilet articles which either rest upon the side of the wash bowl or are secured into the wall. The former are unsatisfactory, in that they litter up the bowl stand, are in the way, and in an unsanitary position. The latter type of holder are unsatisfactory in that the wall is mutilated by screws which frequently provide an insecure fastening in a plaster wall. My device avoids these difficulties by being fastened upon the faucet or other convenient fixture, where the articles will be out of the way of the user of the bowl, yet close enough to have all the articles handy.
Other objects of this invention not at this time more particularly enumerated, will be clearly understood from the detailed description and drawings forming a part of this specification.
Furthermore, this invention consists in the novel arrangements and combination of parts more particularly described in the following specification and embodied in the claim appended hereunto and forming a part of this application.
Referring now to the drawings, which are merely illustrative of my invention,
Figure l is'a front elevation of my device as applied to a faucet of a lavatory.
Fig. 2 is a detail horizontal sectional view of the clamping feature thereof.
Fig. 3 is a top plan View of the toothbrush holder.
Fig. 4 is a detail elevational view of a securing cap for detachable connection with the holder.
Referring further tothe drawings, wherein similar reference characters designate similar parts throughout the respective Specification of Letters Patent.

views, 1 designates a metallic rod adapted to be secured at one end thereof to a faucet 2 by means of a bolted clamp member 3. A loop 4 is formed in said rod 1 a certain distance from the clamped end thereof, the said rod being bent downwardly, inwardly, and thence upwardly at right angles to the portion numbered 1, thereby forming a standard 5. Upon the upper end of the standard 5 is mounted a transverse cross arm 8, provided with upwardly bent ends. Upon one of said ends is mounted a soap receptacle 9 and upon the opposite end is mounted a glass holder 10. Centrally of the cross-arm 8 and in vertical alinement with the standard 5, is an upright standard 5 upon the upper end of which is mounted a disk 6, substantially circular in its outer circumference. Said disk is provided with a plurality of radially disposed incut portions 7 adapted to receive the shank of a tooth-brush. Should it be desired to use my device without the tooth-brush holder, as for office use, the standard 5 may be removed from the cross-arm and a cap 5", of a suitable ornamental design, inserted therein.
A towel clamp 11 is secured through the loop 4.
The utility, adaptability, and advantages of my improved form of combination toilet article holders being obvious, it is unnecessary to further enlarge upon the same herein.
Having now described and pointed out the new and useful features of my invention, I do not limit myself to the shape of certain parts where the shape is not essential, nor do I restrict myself to the exact details of construction shown and described, but mean and intend to claim all equivalents and variations thereof not departing in principle from my invention, and falling within the purview of the appended claim.
What I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:
An article holder comprising a rod, a recess formed adjacent one end thereof and a clamp member provided with a corresponding recess, providing means for supporting the article holder in an upright position, said rod being bent upon itself to provide relatively right angular portions and forming a loop thereon, a standard formed in continuation of said loop, a cross bar mounted transversely of said standard, a
receptacle receiving member associated with the ends of said crossbar, and a second standard connected With the first said standard retaining the cross bar in position, said second standard having an aperture provided at one end thereof, andadisk member having an extension thereon adapted to be mounted in said opening for a purpose specified. V p
In testimony whereof I aflix my signa ture hereto.
HARRY J. KUHN.
