lMPROVEMENT IN DETACHABLE SHIELDS FOR THE POT-HOLES 0F COOKING-STOVES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 123,975, dated February 27, 1872.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ABE BRITTON, of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Device for a Shield for a Step- Stove; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawing making a part of this specification, and is a perspective view of the shield when in use.
Letters A and O are pieces of sheet-iron or other metal, secured to each other by means of the hinge B B. D D are openings, forming a hole by which to hang the device up when closed. E E are openings, made to suit the pot-holes of the stove, which openings are closed, when the pot-hole covers are on, by means of plates F F.
