These blades preferab y have slotted heads 26 designed to be threaded onto the lower flange of the I-beam to form a bank of blades and have vanes 27 projecting toward the table and disposed at an obtuse angle to the direction of movement of the ore on the rotating table and spaced from each other to permit the movement of the ore therethrough. Several sets of blades can be used to meet certain conditions.
A spraying device 28 is fixed to the plate 6 and is disposed above the table to moisten and cool or to moisten the ore as it is revolved and worked by the blades 25 toward the outlet. A water supply pipe 29 controlled by a valve 30 leads to the spraying device, but this pipe may be used to convey cyanid or other chemicals to the agitated ores. T
To assemble the device theseveral parts of the hood are bolted tothe support and the hopper inserted in the thimble, or in the event of the hood not being needed the hopper can be supported in any suitable manner. The rabble bar is then inserted through the open end of one of the seats and through the hopper. The rabble blades, one after the other are inserted through the outlet from the casing and are threaded in order onto the lower flange of the bar, after which the bar is moved onto'the other seat and if necessary locked in position by any suitable means.
In operation, the ore is fed to a portion device and by the speed of rotation of the' contact with the vanes of the rabble blades Which vanes mix the ore and successively move thesame outward toward the edge of the table. At the same time the ore is subjected to the coolingor moistening action of the water spray, which action may be regulated by the amount of water fed to the table. The mixed ore, cooled and moistened, passes from the device into the storage hopper or conveyer belt to be subjected to its next treatment.
By means of a device of this character, the hot ore is quickly cooled, fine ore is quickly moistened and any ore is discharged continuously, at little cost and accurate control of the operation is attained. The portion of the device receiving the ores may be conveniently 'demounted and the parts separated to clean or repair the same and all mechanism is inclosed from the action of any loose ore or dust.
The positioning of the cooling device on one side ofthe table and the mixing blades on the opposite side causes first cooling of the top layer of the ore for a certain period of time while the, table is rotating about one half of its circle of movement.
The gear box engages the shaft adjacent its connection with the spider, thereby bracing this shaft against bending strains and thus eliminates the necessity for any truck or support for the table. In this way, there is avoided any parts which might catch the loose particles of ore sifting down under the table to interfere With its rotation.
With this device it is immaterial whether the ore be fed to the same continuously or intermittently, the discharge onto the conveyer belt or mill will be continuous and this is of great advantage incertain continuously acting machines.
While I have shown and described, and
have pointed out in theannexcd claims, oer-L tain novel 'features of my invention, it will be understood that various omissions, substitutions and chan es in the form and details of the device iIlustrated and in its operation may be made by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit of the invention.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to protect by United States Letters Patent is:
1. In a device of combination with a furnace having an irregular discharge of. ore therefrom, of a horizontal table, means for rotating said table, a fixed hood inclosing said table to form an inclosed casing, said hood having rabble blades disposed in operative relation to said table to mix the ore carried thereby, a spra ing device for ore on said table, a liquid conduit leading to said spraying device, said hood havingan outlet for directing nace onto said table and the side of'said casing having an outlet for the mixed and wet ore.
2. In a device of the claws described, a substantially closed casing having a horizontally disposed rotatablebottom, said casing havin an inlet at the top and an outlet at the ore from said furthe class described, the

3. In a device of the class described, a

5. In a, device of the class described, the
combination with a hopper adapted to con tain a charge of ore means for drawlng said ore from the ho per in a uniform stream,
said means including a rotatably mounted table adapted to receive the ore, a bar posed above the table,'a plurality of rabble blades positioned on said bar, each of said dis blades having a vane disposed at an angle to the path of movement of the ore on the table and spaced from each other to permit the passage of the ore therebetween, said bladesbeing fastened to one side of the axis of rotation ofthe table acting on said ore to draw the same uniformly from said hopper toward the edge of the table to spread the same evenly on said table, and a spraying device for subjecting'the layer of ore on the table to a cooling treatment on the side of said axis opposite the rabble blades.
