ADJUSTABLE DOOR-SCREEN.
aaa'raa.
Application filed October 28, 1915.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, PURSIFER F. Gran and JEROME S. LONG, citizens of the United States, residing at Manheim, in the county of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Adjustable Door-Screens, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.
This invention relates to an adjustable screen, which may be used both for doors and windows, or wherever it is desired to use an adjustable screen or frame.
The object of the invention is to provide a screen which may be easily adjusted within certain limits, and yet shall be strong, simple and contain few parts, thus making a cheap construction.
Vith these and other objects in view, our invention relates to certain construction and combination of parts as will. hereinafter be fully described and claimed in the annexed specifications, and in which the figures of reference refer to corresponding parts in all the views, but it is understood that we do not confine ourselves to the exact design as shown, as slight changes may be made in the construction and arrangement of the several parts without departing from the spirit of the invention.
In the drawings liigure 1. is a plan view of a screen door embodying our invention.
Fig. 2. is a fragmentary view partly in section.
Fig. 3. is adetail of one quarter of the frame.
Fig. at. is an end view of one of the clamps.
Fig. 5. is a plan view of the same.
Referring to the drawings The device comprises a frame of four sections 1, which are'grooved out on their in- Spe-cification of Letters Patent.

ner edges as at 2, and also pierced with slots 8 on their ends.
The screen proper comprises a rectangular frame 4- to which the wire screen 5 is secured.
This screen l: is of slightly greater length and breadth than the grooves of the outer frame when the same is extended to its greatest capacity.
The screen t is designed to lit and slide within the groove 2, and the outer frame 1 is clamped thereon in an adjustable manner by the clamps which comprise plates 6, which are flanged as at 7, and provided with the screw holes 8.
Said clamps are placed on each side of the ends of the frame parts 1, and screws 9 extend through the holes 8 and slots 3 and hold said clamps rigidly on the frame.
It will be readily seen how the frame 1 may be extended or contracted within cer tain limits.
Having thus described our invention, what we claim as new and desire to procure Letters Patent on is An adjustable screen frame, comprising four corner sections formed with screen receiving grooves, and transverse slots in their ends, a screen adapted to it within said grooves and be slidably adjustable therein, means for clamping said corner sections upon said screen, comprising clamp plates secured upon each side of the abutting ends of said corner sections and held together by screws passing through the t 'ansverse slots.
In testimony whereof we aflix our signatures in the presence of two witnesses.
