IMPROVEMENT IN TUVERES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 122,190, dated December 26, 1871.
Specification describing an Improved Tuyere, invented by STEPHEN PARSONS, of St. Francisville, in the county of Clarke and State of Mis sour-1.
The invention will be first fully described and then clearly pointed out in the claim.
Figure 1 of drawing'is a longitudinal section, and Fig. 2 a top view of my improved tuyere.
B is a tank or water-reservoir, having'the tubular projection C; and A is the blast-pipe passing through them both. The part0 enters the fire and the pipe A receives the pipe of bellows or fan-blower.
I am aware that tuyeres of a construction somewhat similar 'to mine have been long in use by but they are made up of a number of separate parts jointed together; whereas my tuyere is cast in one piece, thereby dispensing with all joints and connections. This not only produces a simpler tuyere and one not liable to Patent, is-
