'l`he present invention relates to new and useful improvements in valve-controlled tunnels and has for its primar \1 object the provision ol a tunnel havingnovel lloat, operated means assoeijlted therewith for controlling the tlow of liquid through the funnel.
Another ohjeetot' o ur invention is to provide a tunnel of the elass desrribed which is adapted to he plared in a reeeptaele to be filled. the funnel having means .associated therewith whereby when liquid in the reeeptaele rear-hes a"predetermined height the 'How ot'. liquid through the tunnel will be :mtoinatieall, v stopped.

essary that the valve be open. For this purried thereby have been provided. It will be seen that by depressing the rod 9 the enlargement 11 will engage the loop 23 opening the valve 3 and bringing the loop downwardly into engagement with the eye 19 whereupon the operation hereinbefore set forth is repeated.
We regulate the depth to which the spout 2 is inserted into a receptacle by means o f a strap 22 surrounding the spout 2 and having a plurality of radial extensions 23. The free ends of the strap are connected as at 24 and the extensions 23 are adapted to engage a receptacle, such as a bottle or the like adjacent the inlet opening thereof. By moving the adjusting member up and down on the spout 2 the depth to which the same extends into the receptacle may be regulated.
It is thought that the operation of our invention will be clear from the foregoing description, however, we desire to lay particular stress on the peculiar arrangement of the arcuate extension 17 carried by -the valve.
