' Be it known that I, MAX Comni, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of New York, borough of Manhattan, in the county and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Game Apparatus, of which the following is a specification. The invention relates to that class of game apparatus in which indicating elements are caused to travel over a course and to finally come to rest, and the object ofthe invention is to provide a simple and convenient apparatus which shall be adapted for playing games of various kinds involvmg the movement and coming to restof such and as shown in the accompanying drawmgs.

In the said drawings, Figure 1 is a plan view of my'invention; Fig. 2 is a sectional view thereof, taken on the line 22 of Fig. 1; Fig. 3 is a plan view of the mechanism for operating the rotatable table forming a part of the invention and Fig. 4 is a fragmentary sectional view on an enlarged scale taken on a line at right angles to the line 2.2 of Fig. 1. In carrying my invention into effect, in the form thereof which I have selected for illustration and description in this application, I- provide a casing 21, which. may general appearance resemble the casing of a watch, within which is rotatably mounted a table 22 and also a ring 23 provided with an opening 24. The device then being placed in the horizontal plane, the table is caused to rotate. The mechanism by which this rotation is accomplished will be seen more particularly 1n F1gs.. 2 and 3.

Referring to these figures it will be noted that the table 22 is provided with a pinion 55, rigidly secured to the under side of the table, the said pinion being perforated so as to'allow the table to rotate on a spindle 54 rigidly secured to the casing.- An arm or lever 57 V is provided, pivotally and slidably secured to the casing by means of a pivot 59 which passes through a slot 58 in said lever 57. At

the inner end of the lever 57 is a rack 56 which is adapted to mesh with the pinion 55 when the arm 57 is pushed inward. The ring 23 may be provided with one or more inturnedprojections or with loops of wire or the like, as 34, against which the disks 29 may strike when the table is rotated, whereby they are deflected or impelled toward the central part of the table. A face or cover 76 is provided (see Fig. 2) which is preferably of glass or other transparent material which serves to confine the disks and prevent their being lost but which also will permit the operation of the device to be witnessed. This cover may be removable, or may beheld in a frame hinged to ting access to the disks if desired for transferring them. from the receptacle to the table or'back to the receptacle again after the game has been played.

It will be understood'that normally the ring 23 is positioned so that'the opening 24 therein is adjacent to a closed portion of the channel exterior to the ring 23, the said opening being only brought adjacent to the receptacle 28 when itis desired to transfer one of the .disks 29 therefrom or back there into.

The operation of my invention is as fol-. lows: Suppose that two, for instance, of

the disks or indicating elements 29 have 7 been transferred from their respective receptacles tothe rotating table 2, and caused to; fall into the position shown in the dotted lines at 42 in Fig. 1.. The ring 23 is then rotated so that the opening 24 therein isadjacent to one of the closed portions of the channel, so that the disks cannot escape from the rotatable table, The lever 57 is then pressed inward so that the rack 56 meshes with the pinion 55, and the outer end of said lever is swung with sufiicient force to cause the table 22 to rotate as ra idly as may be desired, after which t e spring 63 disengages the rack 56 from the pinion 55 and the table 22 then continues to rotate for a greater or less length of time according to I the initial speed commumcated to it. The disks 29 are-of course carried around on the table 22, and they are caused by centrifugal force to take up positions as near the outer edge of the said table as possible, that is to say adjacent to the ring 23. As the disks pass around in are thereby deflected toward the central part of the table, but theyf immediatelytend agam to the circumference. As the table gradually loses its momentum it finally comes to rest, and it is then noted at what point with regard to the starting or finishmg. point the disks finally come to rest', and

Having thus described my invention what 1 I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is as follows:

1. A game apparatus comprising a casing, a rotatable table within said casing, an indicating element adapted to be placed on said table, devices adapted to rotate said table and means located inside said casing adapted to retain said indicating element on said table when the table is rotated, said retaining means being provided with an inwardly projecting loop adapted to deflect said indicating element.

2. A game apparatus comprising a casing, a rotatable table therein, means adapted to rotate same, a receptacle adjacent the table, and an indicating element adaptedto be located either in said receptacle or on said table.

3. A .game apparatus comprising a casing, a plurality of compartments within said casing, one of said compartments containing a rotatable table, and another of said compartments comprising a receptacle, an indicating element adapted to be located either in said receptacle or on said table, and an annular wall separating said compartments.

4. A game apparatus comprising a casing, a plurality of compartments within said casing, one of said compartments containing a rotatable table, and another of said compartments comprising a receptacle, an indicating element adapted to be located either in said receptacle or on said table, and an annular rotatable wall separating said compartments, said rotatable. wall being provided with an opening adapted to place the said receptacle in communication with said rotatable-table.

5. A game apparatus comprising a casing, a plurality of compartments within saidcasing, one of said compartments containing a rotatable table, and the other compartment comprising a receptacle, an indicating by a rotatable annular wall provided with an opening therein, one of said compartments containing a rotatable table, and means adapted to rotate the said wall, said means comprising gear teeth on said wall and a gear wheel adapted to engage with said teeth.

A game apparatus comprising a casing, a plurality of compartments located within said casing, said compartments being separated by a rotatable annular Wall provided with an opening, one of said compartments containing a rotatable table, and devices adapted to rotate the said wall, said devices comprising gear teeth on said ring, a gear Wheel adapted to engage with said teeth, and means adapted to rotate said gear wheel, said means comprising a shaft rigidly attached to said gear wheel, and a milled head rigidly attached to said shaft;

A game apparatus comprising a casing provided with a receptacle, an indicating element adapted to be located either Within said receptacle or on said table, a. compartment adjacent said receptacle, means adapted when in one position to prevent said indi: cating element from passing out of said receptacle and when in another position to allow same to pass out of said receptacle into said compartment, and means adapted to cause said element to change its position relative to a starting 'pointadjacent the said compartment. 9. A ame apparatus comprising a casing, a plurafity of compartments located within said casing, a wall separating said compartments, a rotatable table mounted in one of said compartments, and means adapted to rotate said table, said means comprising a gear wheeloperatively mounted on said r0.-

10. A game apparatus comprising a casing, a compartment located within said casing, a second compartment adjacent said first named compartment, and communicable therewith, a rotatable table mounted in one of said compartments, and means adapted to rotate the said table, said means comprising a gear Wheel operatively mounted on said table, a slotted lever provided witha rack, and a pivot secured to said casing and passing through said slot.

11. A game apparatus comprising a casing, a plurality of compartments within said casing, a rotatable table mounted in one of said compartments, and means adapted to rotate the said table, said means comprising a gear wheel secured to said rotatabletable, a slotted lever provided with a rack, a pivot secured to said casing and passing through said slot, and a spring adapted to normally hold said rack and said gear wheel out of engagement.

12. A game apparatus comprising a casing, a plurality of compartments located within said casing, a-rotatable table mounted in one of said compartments and a rotatable annular Wall separating said compartments and provided with an inward projection.
