chemical engineer, and FREDERICK JOHN MORGAN, mechanical engineer, subjects of the King of Great Britain, residing at 56 VVaun road, Morriston, Glamorganshire, Wales, 1 Fenchurch avenue, London, E. G, England, and 30 Wind street, Swansea, Glamorganshire, Wales, respectively, have invented new and useful Improvements in and Relating to Spray-Producers or Atomizers for Liquids; andwe do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to spray producers or atomizers.
The object of the invention is to provide an improved construction of spray producer or atomizer whereby acids and corrosive chemicals can be efliciently and effectively atomized without the presence of drip at the point of atomization. To this end we employ converging channels having nozzles at their outer ends for the conveyance of a gas under pressure such as steam or compressed air together with means for delivering the material to be atomized upon the surface of the gas conveying members and allowing said material to flow along the surface of these members under the influence of gravity until it reaches the point of atomization and is acted on by the gas issuing from the aforesaid nozzles.
To enable the invention to be more fully understood the same will now be described by aid of the accompanying drawings, in which Figures 1 and 2 are a side and edge elevation respectively of the invention, and Fig. 3, a modified form of the invention.
Corresponding parts are referred to by similar letters of reference throughout the specification.
Referring to Figs. 1 and 2, the device is shown as comprising a main tube a which is divided at its lower end into two branches (4' and a provided at their extremities with nozzles M which converge at their delivery end. Upon the upper end of the tube a is a collar 0 by which the whole is secured by suitable means to the gas pressure supply.

In Fig. 3 the above described form is slightly modified in that a receptacle 9 is provided for retaining the fluid to be atomized and which latter is fed thereto through a valve h. This receptacle may be formed integral or otherwise with the main tube a.
